168 rooms, free hi-speed Internet access. A 1960s 15-story skinny building with one end touching Waikiki Beach. Nearly all units face Ft. DeRussy Park, which is good because the back of the building is crammed up against the Outrigger Reef on the Beach. The higher up the better. The first set of numbers is Castle; the second set of numbers is for Outrigger Resorts, which also manages some of the rooms here. This affects things like parking ($18 to self-park; $25 to valet though Outrigger), room safe (free with Outrigger, not with Castle), Outrigger guests must check in at Regency Beachwalk, not all Outrigger units have Internet, etc. All rooms have kitchens or kitchenettes, as well as washer/dryers, and room safes. Castle rentals have no pool; Outrigger rentals will let you use their frantic pool next door at the Reef. The condo units themselves are clean, though some could use updating--but they're very bright, reasonably appointed and roomy. Studios (435 sq. ft.) are $255-$280, 1/1s (625-860 sq. ft.) are $285-$415, 2/1s (1,140 sq. ft.) are $464-$513, 2/2s (1,300-1,575 sq. ft.) are $556-$610. The rooms seem pricey to us, and discounts are hard to get because the rates are set by the condo owners themselves. Outrigger pricing is similar.
