"My family and I just returned from a wonderful vacation on Oahu and I wanted to thank you for publishing Oahu Revealed. We visited Kauai and used your Ultimate Kauai book throughout the week. Both are really unique and are the only guide books that have a real insiders take on almost everything."
-- J. Fetter

Aerial View

297 rooms, pool, free fitness room, 24-hour room service, valet parking, restaurant, 24-hour business center, lanais on some, 2 conference rooms, hi-speed Internet access in rooms, free Wi-Fi in concierge lounge, coffee makers with free coffee daily, free room safes. A 23-story tower from 1987. The resort doesn't have consistent design, and recent upgrades seemed to try to blend old and new furnishings in rooms with mixed results. There are no grounds, but it's clean and comfortable, and rooms are well-appointed. Being a sister property to the Halekulani, you'll have signing privileges at their restaurants and spa (but you can't use their pool). Lanais not directly facing the ocean are standing-room only, but the 8th-floor rooms have giant lanais. Their "Parc rooms" don't face a park--they face the parking garage. Bump up to a "mountain view," if you care at all. And deluxe ocean view means they're up high enough to peek over the Halekulani. Parking is $20 for self or valet, so you may as well let them park it. Or better yet, they have two brightly colored Lotuses for rent to guests (25 and over) for $195 or $245 per day for the convertible. The fitness room overlooks the pool, so if you use it, you'll be an inspiration to every lazy couch potato lounging around in the water. A few minutes' walk to the beach. Rooms (315 sq. ft.) are $285-$415. That's overpriced, but available packages such as free breakfasts add value to your stay.
