1,152 rooms, pool, room service, 2 restaurants and a food court, coffee makers with complimentary coffee and tea daily, room safes, Wi-Fi in lobby, Nintendo. This place consists of three very different buildings, and the tallest building doesn't directly face the ocean. There doesn't seem to be a single theme running through the resort--it's as if all three buildings were unrelated. Waikiki resorts sometimes feel busy, but this place tends to feel really busy to us. The pace can be downright frantic. They clearly target families here--great if you're bringing the young'uns, not so great if you're trying to get away from 'em. The restaurant and the pool are together, so you can eat while another member of the family plays at the pool. And kids under 12 eat free if they're with a paying adult. You also have signing privileges at the other Sheratons in Waikiki. Not all of the rooms have lanais--check if this is important to you. Rooms are pretty small and hardly luxurious, but the price is reasonable, especially since few people pay the rack rates listed below. Discounts, including an "escape rate," can make it a solid gold value if you don't mind the busyness. The beach is a block away. Rooms (200-300 sq. ft.) are $230-$425. Suites (524-1,653 sq. ft.) are $670-$1,650.
