80 units, pool, 4 restaurants, kitchenettes in most. Only 6 stories high at this 1962 building, and nothing seems to have changed since it was built--they don't even have an 800 number. (They seem proud of that.) It's cheap, no frills, no nonsense. Don't like that? Who asked you? Take a hike. No parking here; you'll have to use the Pacific Monarch across the street for $12. Maid service frequency depends on how long you stay. The longer you're there, the dirtier your room will get. Some of the rooms don't have a/c or coffee makers (both equally crucial as far as we're concerned). But it's cheap. Rooms are $50-$80, and it's only a couple minutes walk to the beach. We considered giving it a solid gold value for the price, but couldn't bring ourselves to do it because it was just too worn.
