310 rooms, pool, restaurant, free Wi-Fi in the lobby and rooms, coffee makers with free coffee daily, 42-inch hd tvs, 3 conference rooms, lanais on most. A 19-story building from 1969. This was a grand hotel in its day and thankfully new management (Aqua) is bringing back some of its former glory. Rooms and common areas have had some renovations, paint, new carpets, bedding, etc. Other upgrades were in the works at press time. The view from their pool is wonderful, with an expansive vista from Diamond Head to part of Waikiki, and rooms facing the ocean or Diamond Head have awesome views. A short block to the beach. Parking is $15. Rooms (175–355 sq. ft.) are $189–$259, suites (370–615 sq. ft.) are $269–$500. Few pay the rack rates.
