"My husband and I just returned from a 2 1/2 week visit (our honeymoon) to Oahu, Kauai and the Big Island. We found your books so helpful, that I had to keep them in my purse at all times (requiring a rather large purse). Being thorough anal retentives, we read just about all of the books.."

Aerial View

1,310 rooms, 2 pools, spa, free 24-hour fitness room, day spa, 10 conference rooms, lots of shops, hi-speed Internet access in rooms, Wi-Fi resort-wide, 24-hour business center, free 17-inch laptop-sized room safes, 5 restaurants, coffee makers and free daily coffee, valet parking ($31), room service, child care program in summer and winter. This is the kind of place you think of when you imagine a large, very nice Hawaiian resort. Tropical feel, flowers everywhere, good staff. There are cultural demonstrations all the time and Hawaiian entertainment shows. The rooms are very comfortable, nicely decorated and have large lanais. Even though it's very large, it radiates the dreamy warmth you're looking for without seeming too busy. There are two towers here--the 24-story Kealohilani building is closest to the ocean, while the 33-story building is more of a walk to the beach. The Kealohilani Tower was renovated in 2008 and is gorgeous with splashes of bright color. They've thought of many special touches, such as jacks to connect your computer to the 37-inch flat screen TV, outlets for your devices, reading lamps mounted to the headboards, ergonomic desk chairs for workaholics, and Marriott's Revive beds (for when you are done working or playing). The rooms are bright, spacious and modern with a touch of island flavor in both buildings. Their 6,000 sq. ft. Spa Olakino offers bone-melting services and a great waiting room view of the beach. Cabana chairs by the pool are $15 per day. Parking is $26. Rooms (347-500 sq. ft.) are $370-$490. Jr. suites (555-674 sq. ft.) are $449-$549, suites (1,500-1,800 sq. ft.) are $600-$2,500.
