1,230 rooms, pool, 2 spas, fitness room, room service, 47 shops, 12 conference rooms, Wi-Fi in rooms, 6 restaurants, business center, day spa, Camp Hyatt child program (seasonal). The Hyatt is two 40-floor towers from 1976 renovated in 2005. A huge, open atrium with gobs of shops and a 3-story manmade waterfall make for an impressive and massive lobby. Their day spa has some breathtaking views. This is one of the bigger Waikiki resorts. You're right across the street from Waikiki Beach Center, but it'll take a little time to make your way through the resort to the beach. While the resort might not feel as Hawaiian as some of the others in Waikiki, it's a nice place to stay and the rooms are big and comfortable, if a tad stark. Because the buildings are octagonal, the "deluxe ocean" views might directly face the ocean, or they might be at an angle. The fridge is stocked with a mini-bar--but you can get an empty fridge upon request for $12 per stay. Rates are high, but few pay the rack rate listed below. Rooms (450 sq. ft.) are $260-$730. Suites (1,500-4,000 sq. ft.) are $785-$4,185.
