"Thank you so much!! I am in the Navy and moved to Oahu last September for a two year tour. When I chose Hawaii I wanted to make the most of every moment that I had. Your books are so detailed and candid! I know that I will leave here seeing the best that Hawaii has to offer. I still continue to explore Oahu and I have been to Maui. I am off to the the Big Island in two weeks. I wish that all the places I travel were covered by Wizard Publications. They are the first travel guides that I have read from cover to cover and laughing all the way. Thank you again for helping me to truly experience Hawaii. I will treasure your books and will pull them out when I return the Hawaii or when I want to remember the great times I had here."

817 rooms, 2 pools and keiki pool, 4 lighted tennis courts, fitness center, 4 restaurants, 5 shops, 7 conference rooms, hi-speed Internet access in rooms, lu'au. First things first. You'll probably need to be in the military, reserve, national guard or retired military to stay here. (The eligibility requirements are vast--contact them to see if you can weasel yourself in.) This is the roomiest place in Waikiki. There are 72 acres of land, much of it a park open to the public. (One rule: No bikes allowed. We're not sure why.) There are tons of activities available here: volleyball, racketball, pool activities, video game room, etc., and they're located next to the widest part of Waikiki Beach. We can't imagine anyone staying here, paying these rates, and not being happy. Services are good here, and with their fantastic prices, you'll need to reserve rooms 6-9 months in advance. The biggest shocker for us was this: The military runs off coffee, yet this is one of the few places in Waikiki where they don't have coffee makers in the room for your morning cup of joe. No room safes. (It's pretty unlikely you'd get ripped off here since it's a federal offense.) Parking is $6 and local calls are 50¢. Rooms have vcrs, and they rent movies at the px. Cribs are free. No minimum stay, but there is a maximum--no more than 30 days. Rooms (300 sq. ft.) are $83-$268. Prices are based on your rank and room category--the higher your rank, the more you pay, so suck it in, General.
