A 19-story tower from 1974. This hotel is popular with business travelers and those who want convenient access to the Hawai'i Convention Center a few minutes' walk away. The beach is farther--almost a 10-minute walk. The rooms are nicely appointed and reasonably sized, but the views are pretty unimpressive. Laundry is valet only, and room safes are free. Parking is $22 (valet only). Rooms (308-375 sq. ft.) are $279-$299, suites (667-1,000 sq. ft.) are $329-$449. Deep discounts are often obtainable, taking some of the sting out of the high rack rates. It's not a dreamy vacation paradise, it's a convenient place for business travelers.
