78 rooms, free Wi-Fi in lobby, free continental breakfast, free room safes, 24-hour business center. This 12-story hotel right across the street from Waikiki Beach Center is small by Waikiki standards. The resort has a Euro-Chinese decor and lots of antiques. Fantastic location with some rooms that have killer ocean views, but sadly, the resort was looking run down at press time and badly in need of updating. Parking is $22 and is inconveniently located around the corner at the Waikiki Beach Tower (where they valet park your car), and you have to walk back. Rooms are small with only double and queen beds available, so they don't allow more than two people per room. Rooms with lanais come at the expense of the interior square footage, so only get a lanai if you really want one. If you want to be able to watch the torchlighting ceremony across the street at the beach from your room, pick a room on floors 3-5 facing the ocean. If you want your view to clear the crown of the large banyan tree across the street, you'll want floors 8 or above. There are two rooms on each floor that have no windows (other than doors with jalousie windows) and no lanai, but you can usually get a good discount on these. No laundry facilities--you'll have to give it to the valet. Bathrooms have showers, but no tubs. Rooms (183-244 sq. ft.) are $175-$290.
