8 cottages, bbqs, air conditioning. A good value for a place with a lot of aloha. Incredibly nice folks run the place, and they make you feel like family here. Stand-alone cottages are scattered around homey grounds with lovingly-maintained fruit trees and hammocks. Cottages have full kitchens, and you’re across the street from the ocean. No phones in the rooms, but they do have a pay phone. This is an alternative to the condos in Kihei for those looking for a more quiet, ohana-style experience. New furniture, carpets, appliances and fresh paint brought back the Solid Gold rating for this edition. Cottages (400 sq. ft.) are $135–$165. Longer stays get discounts. No credit cards.
