Maui Revealed: "I was told about your book from a friend who used it when going to Maui. My husband and I are going in Jan for our first time. I was very impressed with all the info!!! The condo we are staying at is listed in your book and I was happy to learn that it got a good review. I am so excited to have your book as our guide... Thank you so much for all the help in planning our dream vacation!!" |
Hale Maui (808) 669-6312 3711 Lwr. Honoapiilani Rd.
12 units, free Wi-Fi, bbqs. This 1969 building is still operated by the original family, and it’s very neat and well cared for. Rooms were updated in 2007. They’re basic but comfortable and each sleeps 5. There’s no phone in the rooms, no real views (except from maybe two units). It’s tucked behind the Nohonani with a small garden (they have aloe vera plants for your sunburn), and it has beach access along a short path. The building’s owner must have looked long and hard to find a gold paint as ugly as what they used on the outside. But this is a very acceptable choice for someone looking for a clean, reliable place to sleep with a full kitchen. A perfect budget place, especially since they often run good specials, and longer stays may cost less than $100 per night. 1/1s (500 sq. ft.) are $115$145. Maid service weekly. 3-night minimum and no cleaning fees. |
