311 rooms, tennis court, restaurant, cocktail lounge, 3 conference rooms, hi-speed Internet access in rooms, 24-hour business center, valet parking, coin-op laundry, empty refrigerator, coffee makers with free coffee daily, pool, spa, free 24-hour fitness room, day spa and a lu'au on the premises. As the Kaua'i Coconut Beach Resort, this was a tired, neglected property. After 20 years on the market, it was sold in late 2003 and the new owners pumped $24 million into it. The current room decor felt dark to us and the property could use some more plants. They have a mandatory $12 per day resort fee that includes valet or self-parking, free local calls and hi-speed Internet. Their beach isn't very swimmable. Rooms (320 sq. ft) are $285-$472 (deluxe oceanfront rooms are 528 sq. ft., have larger lanais and an extra sin), suites (1,060 sq. ft.) are $995. Discounts will take some of the sting off those rates.
