"Very good book. I lived on Oahu for close to 5 years and visited the Big Island probably half a dozen times. Going back again soon. This is the kind of information that one buys guidebooks for. Otherwise, I could just get a map and visit the tourist information booth...The pseudo history picked up by other guidebooks is really kind of annoying. Too bad you can't do other locations. This resort was under renovations at press time. The renovated rooms are clean and modern with a touch of Hawaiiana and 32" flat screen tvs. Oceanfront units have nice views, with the Mauna Kea Wing the closest to the ocean.
