About 8 miles from Waipi‘o Valley it’s 18 rooms (upstairs rooms are best with tvs and ocean views—no phones), free Wi-Fi. This place is more than 100 years old and some common areas look like not much has changed since then. They have new lo-flow toilets, but we wish they would put in new showers. This is not a party place, but you probably will hear your neighbor. No laundry facilities. For the hostel part, no lockers, but they provide sheets and towels. The breakfast is very basic, so skip it and head up the road. Rooms (approx. 150 sq. ft.) are $65–$106; suites (approx. 250 sq. ft.) are $120–$130. On the hostel side: beds are $20 per person, small private room with single bed is $30. Taxes included in rates.
