147 rooms, free Wi-Fi (rooms on lobby side or in lobby), lanais on most (except room numbers ending in 9, 17, 10 and 22), microwave and empty fridge, coffee maker (free coffee in lobby), washer/dryer in some others use coin-op laundry, daily maid only if you pay the daily rate, and local calls are an extra 52¢. So what are they—a hotel or a condo? They’re a condotel with rooms owned by individuals, so expect wide variations among the rooms. Some rooms have been updated and are acceptable, but not all, so keep looking until you find one with surroundings you like. The day staff has improved here and shows more aloha than in the past. Parking lot may be noisy at night. Rooms (around 300 sq. ft.) are $74–$94, kitchenettes (add a hot plate) are also $74. Cheaper weekly rates available make oceanfront rooms $75. We’re giving it a Solid Gold Value for this edition based on getting a decent room and view for your money.
